Hey guys, I have a buddy buying a 94 2500 with 160000 miles. The truck is bone stock. I'm wondering what he should be aware of with the motor? Are there any common trouble areas? Also, what upgrades do you recommend? Thanks guys

 

I have a 1995 dodge cummins with 336,000 miles on it and its still running like a champ! The main thing that ive had to do to my truck is get the front main seal fixed because it leaked oil... as far as upgrades are consered jut grind down the fuel plate, buy an adjustable boost elbow, 4" exhuast, CAI (BTW your friend should be prepared to buy a new clutch after doing the stuff listed because you'll be doubling the torque)... I think your friend will be happy with the end result. just my opinion

If it's an auto, and has been run hard, the tc would probably be something to consider. It's a must if you increase hp/tq.
