Well my truck now has 16,000 miles on it and it is time for me to change the diff. fluids. What do i need to use? Why isnt there a FAQ about this at the top *hint hint*. Any things that i need to be aware of before I begin this task? What is the average time it takes to do this?

all you need is a 3/8 ratchet, 9/16(I think) socket, a few rags, drip pan, and two gallons of synthetic 75w90.
both front and rear took me an impressive 30 min. . .would have taken less if I didnt feel like inspecting both carriers for 15 min.
I put in Amsoil SVG 75w90 and immediately I could tell a difference, but then again I didnt do my first axel service untill 30K![EEK!](https://dodgeforum.com/forum/images/smilies/eek.gif)
there is a reusable rubber gasket between the cover and the houseing that you just need to wipe off any excess oil and dirt. oh, and one more thing, pull the bolts out of the bottom first then loosen, but do not remove the top two or three bolts. this will help you keep the oil directed into the pan and not on you

Ditto on the specs in the FAQ area. That would be great! I'm currently trying to get a fluid list together myself.
Sugested / recomended synthetic fluid and volume for:
Auto Tranny (+ filter type)
Front diff.
Rear Diff.
Transfer case
Already switched the oil out.
Tried to get this from a dealer and he said heneeded my VIN to give me the specks. Well since this is the only 17 digit number I havent commited to memory yet I said I'd call him back.
Figured I'd get the correct answer here.
Thanks
