Default battery problems

I let my truck sit over the weekend for 3 days. Got in it sunday night and it was dead. I finally had to jump it Mon. morning. Are both battaries shot or what. Once I jumped it I havn't had a problem starting it. My other question is can you pull it and pop the clutch when the battaries are dead? (its a 6 speed 03) Any info or suggestions would help. Thankx

The compression is really high in a diesel, you would have to get it rolling pretty fast to pop the clutch

Make sure your glove box light is not what's causing the problem. If the light remains on, it will kill the batteries. You can take the truck to any parts store and have the batteries load tested. You'll want to isolate each one before testing them. Just disconnect the positive jumper between the two batteries.

Good luck with your ride.
