Sorry brother, I didn't mean to sound like I was baggin' on ya.

I just get a kick when the conversation of swapping gears to recover fuel mileage comes up. It just never pays for itself.

The only time you really want to re-gear is to re-coup lost performance and keep the driveline in check from a tire size change. Only other reason would be to put a truck into a more usable part of the torque curve, but this mainly applies to gassers.

not a problem. . .I was just making sure you were reading me right.

besides, the only reason I would get an aux trans or even swap gears is for top speed. . .these 4.10's cause me to redline long before I hit the speed limiter. she aint gunna be fast. . .but she'll get there VERY quick
