Default What are some good mods for a 2001 CTD

Hi guys! I just bought a 2001 CTD 3500 recently. I have a little extra money to play with after I recondition the interior. I was wondering what would be the best exhaust, cold air kit, and "box" that I could put on that would give me a little more getup and go. I want to keep it simple and economical, keep the truck dependible, yet have some more power for towing and for playing around. ANy help on products and manufacurers would be great! Oh the truck is a 235hp w/ 5spd Thanks!!! -Brian

This is what I did to my 01 2500 4x4.
Edge comp, I leave it on the highest setting. You get the best fuel miledge.
You'll need the exhuast and boost gauges, so you can make sure you don't heat up the engine too much.
elctric fan
4" exhaust
perma cool oil cooler and relocate kit. (replace the oil hoses with steel braided hoses)
2000 ft.lbs. TQ converter and the larger valve body
I get about 20+ mpg with alot of hp as a by product.

Keep an eye on the lift pump. They fail then take out the injection pump. For some reason Mopar thought it would be aswell idea to mount the pump on the block so it would have to pull fuel up from the tank. There are pump kits that mount back at the tank. It's easier on a pump to push fuel rather than pull it. You can Google Diesel Performance or Blue Ridge Diesel for parts. Summit Racing also carries big exhaust kits at budget prices.
