I thought I was the only one with boxes of stuff laying around everywhere just waiting for me to install. Sometimes I think to myself it's almost like work but at least it's a labor of love.

With regards to Mayfair's comment about buying from the "good guys" I recently bought about $700 worth of danin/pricol gauges and stuff from Geno's and when I called them up and placed the order the guy asked me if I was a return customer, so I said yes, and he gets my name and checks his computer info then says "no charge on shipping". Which I thought was really cool and also made me wonder what kind of markup thjey have on stuff lol. But anyways, I prefer to order stuff over the internet most of the time but it can be worth your while to call in orders sometimes depending on the vendor. That's the kind of thing that will make me always look to a place like Geno's first for something I need. On the other end of the spectrum is an outfit like styling concepts. I'll pay more for a product from someone else before I ever buy anything from those @$$holes!

I saved $40.00 + and the shipping was free so I saved about $75.00 it sounds like on everything.

I'm the complete and total opposite.

I'll go to a website and check the stuff out, but I'll ALWAYS call my order in. I dunno, I'm old fashioned that way I guess. I feel more comfortable knowing that I actually spoke to someone, that my order was actually placed, that it was double checked for fitment or whatever, so on and so forth.

I still don't like using my credit card over the net. As a matter of fact, I've still never done it. I also feel that by eliminating the phone call, I also may be eliminating someone's job which I HATE to think I'm doing. I'm all about protecting the little guy.

I also feel more comfortable knowing that I'm buying my stuff from a reputable company and not some fly by night garage based company.

Maybe I'm weird, but that's how I'm able to sleep at night ...

I'm always afraid the person I'm talking to on the phone will screw up my order and that's why I like to type in all relevant info on the computer If you've got Visa you don't have anything to worry about using a credit or debit card over the internet. You are not responsible for charges you did not make and will get your money back if someone stole your credit card numebr and bought stuff. I think most credit card companies have the same policy. Now if you use your debit card as "debit" and someone steals your card number plus the PIN# you are SOL and will get cleaned out. Which is why you should NEVER use a debit card pin number for any transaction at all and always just use it as a credit card when they ask "debit or credit?".

Yeah, I know about the credit card re-imburesment stuff and all, but I just like to avoid the hassle to begin with. Plus, like I said before, if I eliminate the guy answering the phone, I feel like I've just kicked him to the curb. That's the same reason whyI won't get an EZ-Pass. I'M not gonna be the guy who shank's the middleman .... As long as there's a guy there to take my quarter, I'll be in line to give it to him. That's just how I am.
