Default Off Topic Tranny Question

Heya guys i know this is a cummins forum, however, i also know there are alot of intelligent people on here. So i figured I would ask this question to you guys.

We're working on my 69 camaro, and for some reason all of a sudden it won't go in reverse. It has a 3-spd automatic in it. I was just wondering where to start, and what to check. Nothing with the tranny has even been messed with, so i'm really not sure what it could be.. Checked tranny fluid and its full as well.

Explain "all of a sudden", could the linkage have become loosesomehow? When's the last time the tranny was serviced? Bands maybe? Hope it's something simple.

Thats quite possible i suppose, i haven't gotten to look at it yet, it sits so low to the ground that i'm gonna have to put it on my lift to look at it, however i hope its something simple as well.
