MBRP 4 inch cat back or 5 inch turbo back?

RE: MBRP 4 inch cat back or 5 inch turbo back?
I am thinking I am going to go with this one here. Since I won't be messing with the cat and all I'll probably end up doing it myself. Looks like a very easy project, and whatever I can't do (if I decide to weld anything) my dad can.
Now I have to decide on which comes first my nerfs or exhaust. I think the exhaust may win out.
One more question.....how fast does the aluminized stuff rust? That would save me a bundle and its not like I live in the midwest. Here in Idaho we used chloride and rockon the roads, which is corrosive, but not as bad as salt.

either way do a straight pipe no cat or muffler you wont regret it silverline&\\;nbsp\\; makes an exhuast with wa muffler delet pipe as an option or just cut the cat and muffler and replace with 4 in ch pipe and it will be just as good as a bought exhuast. sound exactly like a semi

You'll dig it......
The MBRP's sound really good.
And unless you are hot rodding it, you'll never even notice the cat being there.
If you are gonna crank up the power and start blowing smoke, then I would say get rid of it because it's just something else to catch the schmoot.

Thanks Cumminalong.....I am getting my edge tomorrowand will probably run it on 2or 3 (moreso 2 since I tow alot)most the time. Will the Cat create a problem there?
I guess it would probably be best to go with a catback system for now and then maybe delete the cat later with just some piping if I decide I want more sound and less restriction. My biggest concern for keeping it like I said above is for mileageconsiderations.
I am leaning more towards to aluminized system now also, I rarely keep trucks all that long (3+ years) and the aluminized system comes with a 3 year warranty. See any flaws in my logic?

Nope! Sounds like a plan brotha!
As long as you monitor the EGT's you'll be fine.
Anything from 1250 on down and you can run it all day. 1350 is where you need to start worrying.
If you need anything on drilling and tapping the exhaust manifold for the EGT probe on that Edge, just check this thread....

It's really not bad at all.
If you wanna make sure that NOTHING gets near the turbo, just loosen the 4 nuts on the turbo mounting flange and slide a piece of duct tape (sticky side up) in there and it will catch anything that may fall. Once you get done, just re-torque the nuts(uhh, after removing the tape) and you'll be all set.

Blaming someone else for your misfortunes is just not right.
On a side note, I got my Edge on today. Wasn't real impressed with their pillar mount fitment/look, but I love the module itself. Took it out to my "test spot" and had some fun. It seems a lot snappier on takeoff running on 3. Very happy.
