RE: beware of front end shimmie
This is only happening on the 4x4s?
Forgive the stupid question .. but the 3/4 & 1 ton 4x4's are solid axle coil sprung up front?
Death Wobble is something I'm familiar with from my Jeep days... and it's not something I'd wish on anyone. From my experience with it in my XJ I had to tighten up control arms & the trackbar (or replace bushings) or get an alignment. At first I thought it had to do with the steering stablizer, but then I drove home on the hwy with a busted one and had no problems.. so I rule that out.

Thanks for all your advise. I took my truck into local dodge dealer today. they checked all the mechanical parts out and everything is a ok.They decided that it was a front end alignment problem. They also are going to replace the steering stabilizer. I will keep the forum posted, if that is the cure. Once again, thanks.

Well, thats why I asked what kind of suspension the 4x4 3/4 & 1 ton's have..... I've only ever heard of DW on solid axle vehicles. I know the 4x4 1500's have torsion bars & "A" arms .... but is that also what the larger trucks have or d they have solid axles?
