I have -04 305hp Cummins and I am going to use Smarty pod cather #5 (+90hp with added timing), because thats apparently all that stock auto tranny can take.
Do I have to install EGT-gauge or have anybody had too high egt:s with +90hp?

 

i have the smart jr with the 100 hp setting and i was told to instal gauges i went witht the edge insight monitor and after installing it it was a good choice if i am pulling or gettin on it the egt can jump to 1200 or more really fast and so it is a good idea in my opinion you can use mechanical ones or a monitor just as long as you have one
