that is usually just a combination of moisture in the exhaust and cold engine temp trying to burn a fuel that burns better when the engine is hot and temp outside is warm.

everything else seem normal? no strange sounds, low fluids, etc?

and how much white smoke are we talkin here...little bit, or rolling out like a sled puller?

if it clears up when the truck is at operating temp, nothing to worry about..all cars and trucks put out a lil white smoke lookin stuff (its usually just moisture) when first started on a cold day.

if its white and persistent its usually a sign of unburnt diesel at idle or what we call hazing.. my truck hazes because of the injectors I run but it gets lighter to almost non existent as the truck warms up.

common for trucks with large injectors, or trucks with static timing vs newer trucks (24v and newer) that have variable timing.
