I was always curious about that as well..Since the last time i changed my oil, everytime i start my truck up, it sounds like something also is winding up but it only lasts for about 10 - 20 seconds....Then it stops...????...Does anyone else have a clue...???

I have the same noise. I took it to the dealer and they replaced the entire hydraulic fan assembly-still makes the noise on start-up. Then they replaced the power steering , still have the noise. Chrysler said they don't know how to fix it because they claim they never heard of it before. They told me it doesn't hurt a thing and that it is on record. What a nice reply! I still have to live with it and it is getting worse.
