I too would like to put a viper engine and transmission in my car. Not sure if roominess would be a issue or not. I have a 2001 Durango and it's AWD with the 4.7. I would like to keep it AWD so would the stock transfer case work? I would also like to put some SRT-10 rims on it with viper brakes.I would also like to put the 4.7 in my 94 Gen 1 dakota. Has anyone ever heard of either of these or has it been done before?

 

I bet the biggest problem will be grill-to-firewall fitment. The V10 is a very long engine. By the time you place a radiator and fan in front of it you'll be able to change the spark plugs from the driver's seat. You'll have to reach into the bed to shift gears. The best part will be lighting your cigs directly off the headers. Obviously, I'm exagerating but you don't have a lot of room to work with. I heard they had to move the firewall on the 69-70 Charger they built around the Viper lump and that car is huge.

 

That is possible but i think it wont leave much space for other mods ... why dont u get urselves some other engine ... there are many other alternatives with the same power as that of a viper.
