Help in buying an SRT-10
Hello guys I am fan of Rams, have been since i was young. After looking at the market on what I would like to purchase I have decided I want an SRT-10. Thier is a dealership here that has 3. 2 2004's and 1 2005. I notice only one has the "remote open bed cover" (did most of them come with this? If you were me would you tell him if your buying one that doesn't have it, he needs to get one?) Also I thought the power in them 500HP was pretty cheap for less than 28 grand I guess its because of fuel economy right now.
Would you think for an SRT around 15-20k miles 28,999 is a good buy? What should I suggest and stick to my price? Currently I drive an F-150 XLT Triton. It has decent power, but no where near what I am looking for.
Any additional random information you would like to provide that you think would be useful for me please inform!

Unless im mising something it Books for 35k+ How can they sell it so cheap? Just afraid im getting ripped off someone. Also this is through a certified dodge dealership so I will get the warrenty on it. When it says 8 year 80,000 mile warrently that doens't include this massive engine does it?

The market is soft on these trucks right now, actually all trucks. This is why you can buy them for far less than book value. I MIGHT be able to get book value on mine, but I have a lot of goodies. You can also find new ones still on lots if you look hard enough.
You could get one as cheap as 25K if you look around and are willing to drive to get it.
No SRTs came with a automatic bed cover (must be aftermarket). Some 05 and 06 came with a alum hard cover.
Try to find out what have been done to the trucks. Make sure the clutch is good, kick up the revs to 3K and pop the clutch, if it smells or smokes, well that is bad. The clutches are not so good on the trucks and will be your first major REPAIR expense if it is still stock. Also note, the cluch is part of the limited 1/12 warrranty.
