I really like the site! I own a '04 SRT 10, located in Prairie Grove Arkansas. Is there anybody out my way to look up for joining a club? Anyway saw the MPG reports, with 22,ooo miles I average 14.5 (so the display tells me). I normally run 104 octane that we can purchase from a station here. Not cheap though!
I did have one question about the transmission. I get a whining sound only when the temperature outside usually happens during moderate acceleration. After 3 or 4 miles it goes away. the dealer told me it was normal. Is he right? Anyway I've had my truck for about a year and enjoy devasting the new Mustang owners.

The tranny is noisy when temps are cold on many SRT Rams.

Nope. Mine does it. Noisy in Nov and April. "Quiet" all the other months.

I was told by the mechanic that there was not a pick up pump in the transmission. Doesn't sound right though........
