Default Special Edition 04' SRT-10, Good Deal?

Hi this is my firstpost on this forum, I've been reading other people's posts long enough and decided I would post my own. I am looking at purchasing a special edition, 2004 srt-10, it has under 150 miles on it and is definitely a collectors item. I'll post a link to the ad below.

http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/...10/604963.html

I have always wanted to get one of these trucks and I think this might be the one, it is mint condition and has all sorts of extras, question I have is the guy wants a premium price for it (79,999) is this worth it? It was raffled off in 2004 as part of a raffle for the viper club of america, the guy who owns it won the raffle and he along with 50 other people won a special edition srt-10, it definitely has some uniqueness to it (autographed by daimler chrysler president on plaque, premium sound system, was at daytona 500 etc.) would this be enough to make this truck a collectors item number 1? and second if so, should I consider purchasing it at the price hes selling it for?

After reading some posts onthis forum Iknow someguys have some definite views on what one of these trucks should go for.

Appreciate any comments,

Dan

That link is to a 06, but you are referring to the VCA edition SRT Ram, 50 made I think. 79K is over priced though, years down the road.

One other thought, if you want a limited production truck you can get the 05 CE. 400 made. You can pickup a low mile CE for low 30s.

They made 200 05 CE. I had to go look in the garage because I couldn't remember.

You are correct, 400 may have been the YF model.

why buy it if you won't drive it? Once you start driving it you won't want to stop----they want to be driven!!!!!

Yea I posted the wrong link to the ad for the truck I was talking about when I posted-oops.

Thanks for all your responses. 94rt10, you think its overpriced? I was kind of thinking the
same thing..it is a one of a kind though-so Im kind of debating whether its worth it or not.

by the way heres the right link to thetruck on hemmings:

http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/...10/605615.html

Reasons Im leaning towards this truck are, 1) its number 1 of 50..thats gotta mean something.
Plus its a special edition viper club edition..blah blah blah you know the rest. Thing that gets me
is it has almost zero miles on it, so i really have nothing to compare it to in terms of price-so thats
where Im at now.

Anyhow I appreciate all of your guys comments-figured this would be the place to go and looks
like i was right. If anyone has seen any other trucks similar to this for sale can you please let me know? Would like to compare what this guys asking with soemthing else.

Dan

1 of 50, 50 of 50, I do not see a big difference in the cost. 79K is just way over priced.
