According to NASCAR.com... He (Gaughan) drove a production Dodge truck 154 mph last week. The run was made in a truck that anyone can buy. To make it more authentic, Gaughan listened to the radio and chatted on a cell phone as he made the run.

So a heavier truck that is faster than the L is a joke? Yes the 06 L will be bad azz but the 550 hp will only be for short bursts. It's also still 1-2 years away. Ford may win back the crown in 06, then Dodge will take it back, then Ford again and so on. There will always be something better in the future. Personally I like the L's but I chose to go with the SRT-10. I find that it is much more fun to drive. Just my opinion.

 

Your talking about making bricks go fast, the whole concept of fast trucks to me is pointless. When your precious Lightning gets that added power to once again be competitive, the new Viper coupe will also be released and it will have more horsepower, so guess what will happen to the SRT-10 Ram. That's right, a power increase. If they time it right the Lightning will never even get the fastest truck badge back at all. Both trucks are big bricks, the only difference is that once again Ford is ripping someone else off for their vehicles designs.
