Hey guys, been a ling time since I been on here, been on pirate a lot but have somthin I think u guys will know what I'm after...


I have 4.10th gears on 37" tires with a stock 5.2... I'm not going for land speed records, but i need power,

i am asking cause i know alot of u guys run 35s and 4.56 gears, would 4.88s be better for my 37

 

The 4.10 gear is good for the 1/4 mile and the 4.56 better for the 1/8 mile. I think that will work. I know some guys run the 4.88 in there str10's for the 1/8 mile also.

 

Using 4.56:1 with a 33"x11/slicks on 15"/Bogarts. The 4.56's seem to wine-her-up-faster!

4.10:1 gears aren't for the 1/4 mile when you have a six-speed.

With the lower gear you don't have shift into 5th.....Only 3/shifts in the 1/4.
