Default New Owner What Next?

Hello Everyone,
Just joined up as I'm a new QC Owner.
Wife surprised Me with a New 05 Black Beauty...
Already changed to Magnaflow Catback...Sounds Fantastic and I swear it seems faster off the line.
Kinda like driving around with the parking brake on, and then taking it off[:-]

What I need to know from you guys is "What Next"?
Headers-what are the best?
Air Filter-The best?
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated...

I'm addicted...

CrazyJoe

Well, a couple guys over there are trying to start up the "Viper Truck Club of America" I'm not sure how well it is going but I did see that at least 120 members are interested in participating. I think BigDodgeInAlaska is heading it up. Here's a link for some info: http://www.srt10forum.com/forums/sho...highlight=VTCA

Congratulations and welcome! You're on the right path and HDViper is right on to send you to srt10forum.com. I started with the Magnaflow catback and K&N CAI. The K&N adds even more growl. It's still up in the air about whether it produces more or less power. The Gibson headers are affordable (relatively) and Fast One said they added more low end grunt. I'm going with the STS Turbo package and the Magnaflow, K&N or headers won't be of any use then but, I'll have over 700hp.

See, if your wife would have asked first we could have steered her to a red truck because everyone knows they're faster. Enjoy your beast.

I can't wait to get started, I feel a "Sickness" coming over me...[:-]
I have been reading up on the sight...Info is fantastic.
I was also thinking of SC System, But don't know info about them yet as to which is Best.
I also want to enjoy the ride a little before having to part with it for longer than a few hours on the lift..
As far as Headers, a Have also been reading some thoughts on "Belinger" (Think I spelled It correctly)
Seem a Bit more than Gibson, Any Better for the $$?

Red is Nice- for a Mini Cooper-Too "Pretty" for a Truck

Maybe my next one...

PS Not to sound Dump (Probably AM) K&N I understand, what does "CAI" Stand for? Something I should BuY HUM??

"Sickness" is a good way to put it.

The Paxton seems to be the way to go for a SC. Quicksilver has one installed. I rode in his truck and... well, bring an extra pair of shorts. I'm going with the STS Turbo since I live about 5 miles from their shop and will have easy access to their expertise. Also, the turbo is less expensive for similar power output. However, if someone like DC Performance installs the SC, your warranty is still intact. The jury is still out on Bellangers vs Gibsons. Being long tube, Bellangers make more power but do they make $1,000 more power? Regardless, people are very pleased with either kind.

You can get the K&N for the SRT from a number of vendors here or on srt10forum.com for just under $300. Whether it makes more power or not, the extra growl at WOT is well worth it. The K&N is plastic. Hennessey makes a polished stainless intake that is about $100 more but looks awesome.

Mini Cooper? Well I never....

Keep in touch.

Hi Big,
I love Red as well, The problem is I'm to "Ugly & Mean" as I'm told...Black suits My Personality[:-]
Thanks for the info...
I'm leanign a Lot on this Forum, already bought a bunch of toys...
I'm still learning on the Super charger Vs Turbos...
Turbos I Know as I have a Ruff 930.....
One of my problems is I don't know perosnally of any Great shops in the NYC area that would do the work. So I have to consider shipping out my Baby.
I'm looking into the Henessy system as well DC Performance, and there reputation is important for me as I want a Flawless No problem setup.
(Don't Have time for playing aroung going back and forth)

As well since I would not drive in fould NY Winter, I would be doing the job during that season.
But I'm reading a lot of tuning issues with the paxton, Have not found to many threads on your turbo system.
Also I would love to have a system, that I can feel the difference for the $$$..
Henessey for the $$$ I would expect a "Vast" improvement...
Anyhow any Input and opinions are greatly appreciated..

CrazyJoe
