Default Hi from italy !!

Hi everybody, i'm an italian enthusiast of american iron and fiberglass (as you can see on my signature). I was looking for a dodge srt, i've to say that is veeeeeeeeeeeeery cool ! here in italy, we have only viper ad no ram viper powered. The problem here , is the fuel........ yes here for a gallon we pay almost $ 5,50 [:@].
If you have to choice taking in count also the fuel price and the mpg , you'll buy an srt or a ram 1500 daytona ???

thanks for your support !!!

Andrea

Andrea,
It's nice to hear from our overseas friends!! When I was in the Air Force I went TDY (temporary duty) to San Vito several times...I loved it!!!!!!!

The price of fuel IS a problem O/S, it was about $4.00 a gallon when I was stationed in Germany. Your gas mileage will vary depending on how hard you drive your vehicle, my SRT-4 is rated at 30 miles per gallon on the highway, but I've never seen better than 23 or 24. Go with what you like and can afford!!!!

Inflating your tires a few Kg's over the recommended pressure will help the mileage a little.....and will also make you feel more bumps!!

Hi Dusty, pleased hear from u. The ram of corse cannot be my 1th car, due to the mpg. Also becouse here in Italy, I use highway 10/15 % of the total mileage in a year. So 85/90 % is made on city streets, with traffic.. a lot of traffic !!! Don't know... hope the new year will help me with this decision

have a nice holyday to you all !!

I say get a Viper and to hell with the gas price. Drive what you like, life's too short to worry about gas. Some people spend their money on cigs, some on alchohol in bars, then there's those of us who frequent gas stations. My health is better for choosing gas. And it's tons more fun.

Hope to get to Italy before I die. My ancestors are from there.

Later, and Happy New Year!!

Ed nice to meet you, I was in tampa in june last year... I made a florida tour with some friends. I like to spend my holiday in US ( 3 times for the Daytona bike week, 2 times in Sturgis for the bike week, San diego 2 times, and Milwaukee for the 100th anniversary of harley davidson of course[8D] )!!!
I like the viper very much, but in italy, there's not only the fuel problem..... we have the insurance problem and an annual tax for the possession of the car ( owner tax). We pay insurance and the owner tax, looking at the HP of the car... as you know, Viper has a loooooooot of HP (it means almost $3000 per year). The Ram srt is different becouse is a pick up, and not a luxury car ! so I'll pay per year almost $ 1000. These are the fu**ing rules of this stupid people who have the power here [:@]

By the way, we can have fun with the olds one, becouse we do not pay tax for the possession and only $ 100 ( yes 100) per year of insurance !!!!!! that's incredible. But for this reason I've a 1975 corvette and a 1971 pontiac TA 455 HO ( of course I'm proud to be the owner of these 2 icons !)

I'm looking anyway for a Ram SRT 10 RC CE [8D]

Happy new year to everybody !

I bought mine with 1,750 miles for 31,500. That's for a 2004 model, black in color.

My family is from Italy. Our name is Catanzaro. How about that. Maybe one day I will get there.

Later, Ed
