Default bugs in my srt

hi everyone,
myname is richard i live in a small town in ky. i have an 04 srt-10. i bought it new a few months ago. it was a left over, got it for 36k. i love the truck but am having some small problems that i think are common on these trucks. first off the shifting problem mainly 2 to 3. i have ordered an x-metal shifter to cure that and will wrap the hydraulic line also. another problem with shifting is after the truck has been run hard (hard but not abused) i have a horrible time getting it into reverse, could this be a clutch issue. and last sometimes i notice a burning smell after i shut the truck off, is this the clutch?

thanx for any and all info

p.s.

for the record, i have raced a 2003 ford lightning with some bolt on mods and beat him 4 out of 4 runs!!!

Welcome to the site! I'm sure some SRT-10 owners will be around shortly to help... Seems like a common problem that you have.
