Guess what...? That did sound extremely cocky. Not too mention it pissed me off. Your all talk until we race... I'm never that rude to people when they talk about their vehicles... you'll never hear "mine is better then yours" from me, so show me the same courtesy.

I have over $1,000 in yet to be installed mods on my kitchen table (Posi Unit, new Gears, Mopar Performance Ignition System and Performance Intake Manifold), and I get my Fastman TB on the weekend of July 10th... so shortly, The Lady will be even faster.

To be honest, I never did read the whole thing... however, I still believe that he would have caught up to you know problem. The 1994 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9L "MAGNUM" V-8 had 230 horsepower, even w/ all those mods, I hardly bet 300 horsepower is what the engine is making at the flywheel. Now the Lightnings, depending on what year it is like the 2000-2001 models had 360 horsepower while the 2002-2004 models have 380 horsepower. You can tell the 360 and 380 models apart by their tailights. The 360 models had normal Ford F-150 flareside tailights, while the 380 models have euro styled tailights. What kinda Lightning was this, you sure it wasn't like this...



The awesome 240 horsepower 351ci Lightning, lol...

No, it wasn't that old... and I didn't pay attention to the tail lights, cause I never saw the back of the truck. I raced him up to about 80mph and he gave in somewhere around 50-60mph as the speed limit was 45mph on the street we were on. My guess would be it was a late 90's model... but I don't follow Ford whatsoever, so I don't really care what year it was... we raced, I stuck to the pavement better then he did off the line and tried harder to win, thus I won over the Lightning, not that hard to believe. If we raced at the track, no, I don't think I could have out run him in the 1/4 mile, but that wasn't my arguement anyway.

Teasing is one thing, I can handle some rib jabbing, but that was a flat out insult. Anytime someone insults my truck (and therefore me) I take it seriously.

lol, alright geez, sounds like I will have to take the Silverado on one of these weekends, down there, and we can race around on Gratiot or Hall Road then. But it wasn't ment to be an insult or anything like that, I just beg the differ, having seen what Lightnings can do w/ two neighbors that have them and one being completely souped up, but I have been proven wrong before!

actually the 318 had 230h.p. and the 360 had more like 245-250. but anyhow even the 318 will smoke the fords i know i had an f250 super duty 2000 with the 5.4l and all i could get out of that puppy was 145kph then it would just kick out. my 318`s that i had in 96 then 98 and would not kick out at all just keep going like 180kph. so dont worry to much about fords lady.... ps i got rid of the ford with only 20,000 km.....lol. now i have 2003 heavy duty HEMI... hehe hell i think even my liberty would smoke the ford.....lol

 

My point is, I stated right from the getgo that I doubt he pushed it to it's limit, and I drive like a bat of the hell all the time. Not to forget, lots of people are surprised a truck that says DODGEGIRL on the rear slider window could go fast... LOL!

Just read everything before trying to show me up... I'm not saying The Lady In Red is the fastest thing out there, nor would I because that's majorly naive and I know better.

Anytime you wanna race, I'm up for it... just let me get my newest mods in before we schedule a date. This weekend I'm off to PA to pick up my Shelby Z, and next weekend is looking like modification weekend... *crosses fingers* I'm hoping. LMAO! I'm very inpatient when I have mods to install.

Actually, you are wrong the 5.9L "MAGNUM" V-8 had 230 horsepower in the 1994 model year, not until 1997 was the engine boosted up to 245 horsepower and 250 horsepower on SS/T models. The 1996 Dodge Ram "Indy 500" pickup, had the 245 horsepower edition of the 360ci. The 318ci 5.2L "MAGNUM" V-8 pre-1997 model year had 220 horsepower.
