Antifreeze Help
I have no idea what that even is, however if it is a coolant, and you flush out ALL current coolant I would say it would be fine. But to mix different types of coolants is very bad. That is why I mention you have to flush out whatever is in the truck. This takes several drain/fill with water cycles to accomplish.
I had to top off my radiator when someone left the cap partway off one time. I would recommend you just go to your local Dodge parts counter and get a gallon of the specified antifreeze found in the owners manual. That way you don't have to flush the system, you continue to run what the factory recommends, it's not much more $$ than the auto parts stores carry. Good luck.
I've been using Prestone antifreeze with my 04 since I first flushed the system. I use it as it was recommended by several mechanics as the best choice. I have a mechanic in the family who has experienced and heard of some long term reliability issues concerning the red antifreezes a lot of factory vehicles come with now. I believe it's called Dexcool or very similar. The issues were increased wear on engine internals due entirely to that Dexcool antifreeze. Apparently it can break down over the long run and actually cause increased wear. Of course these problems were almost all with pretty high mileage engines 80K plus miles from what mechanics have told me. The best advice I got was switch any vehicle you have that uses that Dexcool red antifreeze with something like Prestone. Also I've been told to stay away from the 'general' mixes that are sold now which state they'll work with 'any' antifreeze type your vehicle uses. I've been using the Prestone and am so far happy with the results though I suppose long term issues are not exactly easy to spot.
Good luck with the truck
