Faulty Flex Plate--HARD FIND
I,m driving about 65 and out of nowhere it sounds like I ran over a metal wheel barrow...Stopped immediately and called the old Roll Back wrecker to haul my beautiful 2005 SRT10 Quadcab with 20,300 miles to the local Dodge dealer. Twenty service bays at the Dodge dealership and all are full. Seven day's go by and I call to check on my SRT10 Quadcab. "Sir we got your truck on the rack today and your flex plate scattered causing minor damage to your block. We need to replace the flex plate, gasket, torque converter, transmission gasket, transmission pump, crankshaft, and all oil and transmission fluids". I call back seven day's later (now at 14 day's) without my truck. Dodge dealership replies "we are waiting on parts". I call back in seven more day's (now at 21 day's). Dodge dealership replies "we are still waiting on parts". Okay I'm BEYOND pissed. I call the Dodge dealership and speak with the Service Manager and tell him my story. He say's he will find out what is going on and will call me back. Later that day he did call me back and say's "The mechanics are waiting on the flex plate, all of the other parts are at the Dodge dealership service department. We are doing the best we can". Bull$#@*!!!! Yes, another seven day's go by and I call these fools. Guess what? "WE ARE STILL WAITING ON THE FLEX PLATE" On the 36th day, I get a call from the Dodge dealership "Your truck is ready"...I got the truck back today, and so far so good! This Dodge dealership in Texas is a LARGE dealership with several dealerships in Houston, Dallas, Port Arthur, and other cities. We bought two of the SRT10 Quadcabs and paid cash for them. This is not the first time I have had problems with this dealership, but it is the LAST!
Thats pretty messed up, I would be pissed too
If you tranny ever goes bad out of warranty, drop a line here and can send info on a bullet proof set up.
I have been pretty lucky with my stealership and warranty work (not stellar). Dodge dealerships in general are notorious for lousy service.

I have a 1998 Durango 5.9 4x4. Just had the transmission replaced and in doing so, the Dealer damaged the Flex plate (Relutor ring), causing engine problems. They also have had this truck for over 6 weeks now, and cannot locate this part. Even from Dodge...
If anyone has any info where I can get this ring (Has to have the sensor on it), please let me know....
