Im wondering what some of you guys are getting on gas mileage since gas has gone down alittle and you are probably driving them more.

Gas prices does not affect how much I drive mine. I average 10.5 with little highway driving. I did get a big 18.5 on a 300 mile trip, all highway.

I drive mine all the time also. I don't care how much gas costs as I come from England and it will never be as expensive here as it is there. It is my main transport and I drive it a lot. Anyway to answer your question here are my stats.

Interstate = 15MPG @ 65MPH on Cruise
Interstate = 13.4MPG @ 80MPH no cruise
HighWay = 10/11MPG

It seems to make no difference if I use my AC or not. I don't have any mods at all but they will come soon. Apparently you get better MPG if you use a catback exhaust and the CATS are gone. I do understand the mechanics of this and it makes sence to me.

English.

I know a guy with a RC SRT-10 with exhaust, intake, and headers and will run high 12's all day. He told me that he normally drives like a grandpa cause he only drives the truck on the weekends and gets around 13mpg moslty city driving.

I've had my SRT RC for three weeks now and I've never averaged double digit mpg for a tank ( 6 fillups so far)! I do about 60% city, 40 % highway and I still cant seem to average over 9.9 mpg. It doesn't help that I cant keep the damn truck under 90 mpg on the highway! Damn sixth gear is usless under 75 - 80 mph!

My turck is fine with 6th @70. Turns about 1300 RPM or so. If you want power you just have to downshift.

You could also put 4.56 or 4.88 in the rear, which would kick up your RPMs at highway speeds, but I would not recommend that if you are going to SC.

Connecticut is a bit hilly and it jsut seem the motor is working so hard in sixth under 75 ( I noticed between 75 - 80 mph is at 1500 rpm)! I just drive faster and solve that problem. Yeah, the guy who ownes a local race shop here is trying to coax me into a SC! He did some work on my Magnum and loved the truck but thinks more power is always better (for HIS wallet!!)!

Back on MPG, It seems like I start to get very good mpg while cruising at 65 (utilizing the display) but that only lasts for a few miles, next thing I know I passing cars left and right as I look down and I'm approching 90 mpl, its unreal. Never have I been in a vehicle that was so comfortable at higher speeds. You dont buy a truck like this for gas milage, thats for sure!!!
