Really nice looking truck! the volant intake setup is sweet! and now that I can see it... can you take a pic of the intake tube where it goes into the box? also is it clamped to it or part of the box?

 

I just ordered a volant for my hemi ram and I was looking at the srt10 volant and with the ram air scoop that thing adds like 63 HP. insane for a CAI. Sweet truck though, too bad it raisn alot in portland......

Its $429.00... my fab shop is building me one, he got all the measurements last weekend...when its all done you can get one alot cheaper than that. I will post pics soon.

 

yeah, i can notice that your truck is lowered. im wondering which any of you think is the better lower kits from the website?

 

Even heading into a tornado (stong head wind) you will not come close to 36HP. It really pisses me off when manufacturers of products over rate the gains. They all do it, and CAI vendors are some of the worst when it comes to over rating. The goverenment should have some regulations on how a company can promote products based on gains.

If you want one of these try this.... Tell Volant you will pay $500, if... You do a base dyno, then install the intake and run another dyno within 2 hours of the base and get a 36HP gain. If you do not get 36HP then rather than pay $500 you get it for free. I will guarantee you they will not do it. And if you ask them why they will begin to flip flop, saying "results may vary". BS, the reason is they over rated it. Results will vary, but not by more than 3-4HP.
