I picked up an 04 SRT-10 Ram a few weeks back. This has been my dream truck for years since I first saw it at the NY International Auto Show back in 2003 with the Dodge Tomahawk bike (the bike with the 8.3)! I was barely 21 then and never figured I'd be able to get one. A few years back I picked up an 05 Magnum RT after falling in love with them. I quickly purchased the first run of Dynatech Long Tube Headers and also bolted up a Borla Catback! I was tired with the lack of after market parts that actaully increased the power of the car (even though it was more then adiquate). The SRT Magnum was not availabe when I picked up the Magnum RT and I was not willing to wait. Fast forward 2 years later and I started looking at pickups figuring I'd need one for my new house. I first stumbeld upon the Chevy Silvarado SS, then the Harley Davison F150. I was reading a few reviews when I remembered the SRT Ram. I've seen them occasionally while driving and made damn sure to catch up or slow down to catch a closer look (when they'd let me)! I started my intense hunt immidiatly and was in one in less then a week. Mine is an 04 as I said earlier. Its silver with 14K miles, a Magnaflow catback, K & N intake with some aan market stereo upgrade (the truck has been dynamated also!). I have always loved the sound of muscle cars but with the magnum their was issues with louder exhausts resonating in the cabin due to the long interior. I have to say the Magnaflows are loud as hell and I LOVE IT!! Next is some headers and cats with the possibility of a supercharger this winter. Sorry for the long post, I'm just excited to have such an amazing vehcile and I often find myself making excused to go out and pick up somthing from the store for no reason!

The truck will get louder if you get those headers on and remove the cats! Headers and more importantly getting rid of those cats give you some decent HP numbers. Just be prepared, if you want coated headers they are expensive.

Yeah I saw prices hitting the $1900 mark when I was looking. The Headers I had on the Magnum were $1500 (picked them up for $1200 with free shipping in a group buy on the LX Forum). I have always loved the crisper sound you get with headers apposed to the more muffled sound the Manifold gives the exhaust! Your refering to removal of two cats but leaving the first set aren't you? Does this setup come in a kit or do I need to purchase the headers then cats with a seperate midpipe system. I prefer matched header, cat and midpipe systems, their very clean looking (my dynatech headers, cats and mid pipe were this way, just as much fun to look at then hear!!). I cant seem to decide if I want to do the Headers or the clutch first though. I find that the stock clutch is just adiquate for the ammount of power but definetly the weak link. I was thinking of a Stage 3+ kit (solid disc) but I want headers right away!! The clutch is at $750 but I wont do the install, but I will more then likely install the headers and save a few bucks while its laid up in the winter!! Decisions, decisions!!!

My truck has no cats at all. It is a offroad truck therefore legal OK, we do not test where I live and can get away with it.
