daydreaming
I wonder if you could fit a 572 crate motor in to the SRT-10?? I mean it is a truck with a lot of engine room and you would have to replace the entire drive train but-----man what a ride that would be. Plus you would shake every window in within a mile of your house. The srt-10 is just a toy and I need a challanging project.
Got my engines mixed up----I am talking a 528 Hemi---610 horsepower / 650 lbs torque. Mopar says you can drop it in just about any car and offers kits to do so through select dealers. Think I may look in to this today.

You could also get the V10 to 600+ HP cheaper than it would cost to buy that Hemi. I think that crate engine you are talking about is over 10K
For that kind of money you can be pushing 700RWHP with the V10. But the Hemi would sound better.
All very true. Its just that I like the truck so much and need a major project. The V-10 is rather daunting to a guy raised on Chevy engines. I could re-build a big block in my sleep, but the V-10, no way I would want to open that puppy up. Besides, you just cannot open a Summit or Jegs book and find ANYTHING for the 10 so parts would be ridulous in price. Can you picture what that big hemi would sound like with a good exhaust system?? Anyway, I checked yesterday and Mopar's best price for the engine was around 15k. A call to Mopar confirmed that the 48RE trans would bolt up but you have to really beef up that sucker.
As I said----just daydreaming. Thanks for the comments.
