I just picked up my Truck yesterday!! I love it!!Its a dream come true very early for me!

How often do you guys usually change the oil? I have an 02 Mini Cooper S that only needs to be changed every 10,000 miles, so I am just wonder what you guys recommend. It is not going to be a daily driver either. How much dose it run at the dealer?

I change my own oil, so can not answer how much it would cost. I never trust anyone to put the correct oil in it, or further more a bell boy driving it to and from the service area.

I run M1 synthetic in all my cars, which is also what comes in the SRT from the factory. I change my cars at 5K since I am running synthetic, however, my truck and Viper never see that many miles in a year. For those vehices I change once a year reguardless of miles. I just changed the Viper last weekend, had 390 miles on the oil....

Congratulations on your new truck!

Daily driver would recommend every 5000 miles unless you are driving it hard. Then would do it every 3500 or after each track event. Have heard dealerships charging $90-$140 for an oil change. You can do it yourself for about $60

She takes almost 10/qts. you shouldn't pay more than $7.00/qt.
If your going to boost her...than every 3,000/miles, if not I would say 5,000/miles..depending on your style of driving.
You will VOID the warranty if you do not use Mobil 1, it's imprinted on the oil/cap.

And Welcome to the board!

Congrats,
Quick
