Default Another new guy with questions

Hey Folks,

I pick up an 05 Srt 10 Quad next week.It was a dealer demo.It has 14,000 miles.I have read the forum pretty closely.Other than the vibration problems which seem to be the biggest headache is there any other issuses that I should make the dealership aware of before I take delivery. The day I test drove it ....It was somewhat wet...I didn't get over 40 mph.

Thanks----Bill

Have them check the bolts on the crank pully, the can come loose. Just have them torque them, I also check them when I change my oil. 110-120 FT/LB.

Also check the door seals, near the bottom of the windshield area. When you open the door it catches the seal and rips it. There is a new design that fixed this and is covered under warranty.

Make sure the clutch is not slipping!! You maythink it still has warranty, but the clutch is part of the 1/12 limited warranty!

Not that it matters to much, but if any of the rubber stubs on the pedals are tore off they will also replace the pedals under warranty.

I think there may be some TSB or something with the crank sensor as well. Have the dealer give you all the TSBs

Most of these problems were on our '04's. They seemed to figure it out by the time the Q/C came-out. Just make sure that your bands in your auto/trans. are not slipping.
Your auto/trans. is your "Weak-Link" be careful when you start modding her.
