None that I know about (it is a QC), tires look like the original scorpions that came with the truck (I think that is right), engine runs good (did tend to back fire when sitting and then got revved up but that may be due to low octane fuel that they put in), Front Brakes seemed well worn with the pad location worn into the rotor ~1/32" all the way around but there was a noticable ridge where the brake pad was. I did notice a significant amount of valve train noise that was uniform on both sides of the engine and not knowing much about theses engines could be normal. I am trying to compare it to older engines that I have heard with high compression ratios and roller cams and rockers and that is what it sounded like. It seemed normal but not knowing what they sound like I have no compariison point.

Thanks for the reply and any additional information that you can provide

Doug

Some valve train noise is normal, but not alot.

There has been some complaints about the auto with the QC's. If you plan to mod the truck you will want to upgrade the tranny. Would be interesting to know how it is shifter under heavy load with 26K on it.

If those tires are original they are about done. Check out tirerack.com, you can get the stock tires for about $180, although I would go with something different than the Pirellis.

If you are going to mod, your first mod should be a PCM.
