1999 Dodge Ram Van problems
FI cleaner doesn't do much except remove very minor residue. If you have a FI with a shorted coil it has to be replaced, or if it's gummed up it has to come out to be cleaned.
Just a quick FYI, have you tested the ignition coil yet? I had a "weak" coil going bad on me that would cause the engine to stall at idle. Over time it got worse, than the van was hard starting and wasn't charging well.
Once the coil was ohm tested and found to be faulty then replaced, all of the problems went away.
I found out later, in other Dodge forums on the web, that performance plugs and ignition wires will prematurely burn out a non-performance ignition coil. So, if the plugs are some premium type and the wires are heavy-duty performance, then the coil is getting a beating.
Cleaning the IAC, the TB port-hole where the IAC interfaces and the TB IAC inlet slot just below the port-hole is a real help too. PLUS, clean the contacts of the IAC and TPS.
On a "what-if" it's something simple search, check to make sure the crankcase breather metal-bell-shape-thing is clean too.
Since you have a 99 with the V6, have you tried to get the engine problem codes? Just turn the key on/off three times without satring the engine. In the digital odometer, you will see the codes of Pxxxx or Pdone. If there are any listed, report back here.

OK,
FI cleaner was attempted in the fall with no success and I just tried the key on and off 3 times and it didnt show any codes just the mileage still? I tryed it several different ways but couldn't get any codes.
The plugs and wires being used are stock replacements.
The IAC was already cleaned and it idled a little better but once you put it in drive it wants to stall half the time.
Getting ready to try a different mechanic to see what he might think. Possibly have him clean theFI. Got too many projects going on to keep fussing with this van.
Thanks for the ideas though.

No codes and it stalls. Test the ignition coil. There are two ohm ranges to test for.
It's easy to reach and to take off the ignition coil. Once done, AutoZone or Pepboys will test it for FREE.
As for cleaning the fuel injectors, that would be a last option.
For some reason, and I can't for the life of me remember where I read about your very problem and a TSB article not to long ago.
It is widely known about the http://dodgeram.info/tsb/1998/18-48-98.htm TSB.
