my turn signals do not work on my 85 dodge ram van - the bulbs are good, i checked all of the wires, and the headlights work, any ideas?

 

Change the flasher unit. It's round, plugs in, has two prongs and I believe it'sbehind the glove box near the fuses in there.

 

would this be under the hood or under the dash?

 

Inside, under the dash, behind the glove box. I believe in 85 there are fuses on the left sidein the glove box. If that's the case with your's then the flasher should be right behind the fuses. If not, the flasher unit is behind the right side of the glove box.
