B150 wheel options
I got a 94 B150 Ram Van and I wanted to upgrade from the stock 15' wheels but when I almost bought some wheels off of a Ram I noticed that the center hub on the van is larger than the pickups and the wheels don't fit.... anyone know why this is and what are some wheels that would work on the vans???
There are two 5 bolt patterns that are used on the dodge trucks, 5x4.5" and 5x5.5" You have the larger size on your newer Ram. An older 150 is likely to have the 4.5" center. I think Jeeps use the 5x4.5" center as well. From an older doner, you need to get the rims off of a 250 or 350 or an equivelent truck. The easy way to tell if you dont have then side by side, is with a tape measure. Just measure the distance between any two lugs. Make sure the truck doesnt have a the HD axel which uses an 8 bolt pattern.
A funny note, some of the newer rims have a center cap showing a 6 lug pattern. It is a fake. When you remove the cover you will find a normal 5 bolt lug setup.

Thanks! I didn't know there were 2 different 5 bolt patterns used... but the wheels I tryed buying off of a 97 Ram i think it was, the bolt pattern lined up with the bolt pattern on my 94 B150 but the center part on my front wheels didn't fit through the hole in the rims. I need like a 4.5' hole in the center of the rim and the Ram had a smaller opening.
