transmission fluid chg question
New here and the info is priceless! Thanks to all who have smooth-running vans and still read and post to help others!
I'm going to change my tranny fluid on my 97 E3500 and just need to know how to drain or pump all of the fluid out of the torque converter. I don't want to leave any bad stuff in it. It's starting to "bump" out of OD for a split second and I'm hoping a complete fluid and filter change will help it out.
Any help would be much appreciated!

First off, welcome to the forums.
Second, an E3500 is a Ford.
But we know you have a Dodge B3500.
I've read in the forums here and other Dodge forums about geeting the vehicle's end up and to use a hand siphon to get the remainding fluid out of the TC.
Also, you must use ATF+3 or +4 in this tranny. There are a few TSB stating this. The +4 is harder to located outside of the dealer loop, but the ATF+3 can now be found not only at the dealer, but at any typical autostore chain. Do note, the ATF+4 is synthetic and will last longer. The AFT+3 is a good formula too.

LOL, sorry Stev, had Ford on the brain! Thx for the info, it's looking more and more like I'll have to change the filter at home then take it to the shop for a power flush and refill. Seems few places like to pull the pan anymore. I'll try for ATF4 and plan on ATF3 and lubeguard to replace it with. Then cross my fingers and see if the problem goes away...
