Balljoint(s)
99 Ram Van 2500 with the 8-lug nut (HD ? ) suspension. I noticed my left lower balljoint seems to have busted the rubber part.
The book indicates the lower one is easier than the upper. But has anyone got any tips / advice. These books (AllData / Haynes) can be a little mis-leading. Like when they say something like (this example is not for balljoints)"Step 15: Remove the Exhaust Manifold Fasteners". Yeah, right. I know that -- I want it to tell me how I'm going to get my wrench in there!
Another option is taking it to a mechanic. I havent seen one of those guys in a long time. I'm actually a little back-logged now that I am restoring another car.
