Hey guys, I'm having a problem with the van agian. It will start right up in the morning or right after you shut it off. But, if it sit's for more than a half hour or so its hard as heck to start and it is really rich when it does fire up. I was thinking maybe it was the temp sensor. What do you all think?

Ditto on the temp sensor. The one for the PCM though, not the one for the gauge.

 

Would this be the one right behind the alt.? Thanks

 

My van had this very same problem. It ended up being the ignition coil was flaky.

 

Thanks stev. I was thinking that too. Alloro helped me out a month ago when my van quit running. I just change it. But not going to rule it out. The one I replaced it with was only two months old. What could be eating these coils so fast?

 

Excessive spark gap at the plugs or cap/rotor, spark jumping to ground, bad voltage regulator, 8mm plug wires instead of 7mm ones.

 

It's the 2-wire one (yes, usually behind that alt.) The single wire one is for the gauge/idiot light.
