Default electrical error message "no bu5"

My 1999 dodge ram van 1500 turns of frequently and shows on the odometer error message no bu5 error. What could be causing this error message. I have replaced the coil, distributor cap, the rotor and wiring. The van also ran good for about a week and since then it began to turn of again. When I turn the ignition switch on the fuel indicator gauge does not move and all other gauges do. After about an hour or so I turn the ignition switch on and it starts up again. Has any body see this no bu5 error message before?
Thanks in advance replying to my message.
Sincerely,
codger

Default RE: electrical error message "no bu5"

welcome to DF... I would post this over in the van section for better responses. I'd also recommend searching the 2nd gen ram forum, this problem has been delt with many times over there and you should be able to find the problemin one of their threads.
