Yes I did replace that solenoid with a junkyard unit. Now I'm thinking of going back to the yard, and grabbing another solenoid and computer. What do you think?
Did you swap the computer the first time or just the solenoid pack? Swapping an ABS computer can be a nightmare if everything in the drivetrain isn't identical between the two vehicles. Specifically this means if the rearend ratio and tire size are different, the ABS light will never go off.

anything else I should grab while I'm there?
Depends on if the counter help is male or female.

I just swapped the solonoid pack. Sounds like I shouldn't do the computer then.

Nice. I was ready for a little comedy break just about now! Trust me, you wouldn't touch this counter help with a 10 foot pole!

Also, when I unplugged the abs solonoid, the light stayed on. Does that mean anything?

That's to be expected. Since the ABS computer can't communicate with the solenoid pack it triggers the light.
