Default Trans. Filters

Finally getting around to changing trans. filter and gasket.
It'll be in the 60s here for the next week or so.

'99 Ram van 5.2L 1500 (46RE)

Looks like the drain plug in the pan will be the way to go.

I've read a number of posts on this board saying that an OEM mopar trans. filter is the only way to go. Other posts say they have used aftermarket filters without problems.

Any thoughts currently?

Default RE: Trans. Filters

OEM parts are always equal to, orbetter than aftermarket parts. The only reasons to go with aftermarket parts are lower prices and part availability.
