Default Transmission oil cooler lines in a 92 b350

So i just bought a b350 from a bud for 400 bux its in decent shape with one problem being that when i was putting it up on my trailer to tow it home, either the sending or returning oil cooler line burst due to rust. I called up my local dodge dealership which only got me as far as now knowing that dodge dosent even make that part anymore. What should I do, one of the gentlemen in service suggested cutting the bad part of the line out and replacing it with a rubber fuel line type hose... just hoping that someone else around these fourms has had these problems and knows how to fix.

Thanks,
MAtt

You can buy the steel lines and a bender from an auto parts store and make your own. The rubber hose is a good patch job idea, but I wouldn't replace the entire cooling line with it.

I have a 8 inch segment replaced with hose. I did it so I can pump out the tranny fluid to change it. It has been that way for 3 years with no issues.
