Default RE: Front Brakes

Check the Master-Brake-Cylinder fluid level.

Verify that the ABS sensor isn't messed up causing problems with the brakes overheating.

A bad alignment on the front end will cause the front discs to warp in time. Thus, the pads overheat.

Caliper piston leaks or sticking will cause failures too.

If the brake calipers don't work themselves loose after about 50 miles of driving I would suggest you replace both front rubber brake hoses running between the calipers and the metal lines. They only cost about $20 each and can begin to deteriorate badly after about 8-10 years of service.
