Door Buzzer - New Question
I'd measure the voltage hitting the connector, then you should be able to wire anything else in with spade lugs that wants a similar voltage. You could probably work in a doorbell ringer. I would like a circuit that can be used to disable the buzzer with a push button if you know you are going to have the door open for a while. I think a relay could do that, and still reset for when the buzzer goes off normally. have to do something with that power so you don't nuke the fuse.
Thanks for the replies.

Yes, that's a great idea.
There must be an AEM part out there somewhere ready to install ( probably without disabale ).
Should I find one, I'll post it.
thanks again

Suggestion, since you want to diable the sound only temperary, go with a momentary push button and relay. Find the door light switch wire, run youone wire from it to the Normaly Open (NO) switch and from there to the relay. Now run a second wire from the door light switch to the relay power in post. Now on the relay have it where it interupts the power to the buzze unit. This way when you push the button with the door open it will silence the buzzer but once the door(s) are closed the system resets itself automaticly.
Parts needed
NO (Normally Open) momentary push button switch
Relay that when it is tripped that it can hold itself on untill power is cut.
Second and even simpler solution is find the power wire for the buzzer and cut it, install enough wire from them to go to a spot on the dash and put a switch there, then you control when it works and when it does not. Switch on means the buzzer unit works properly, and in the off position means no buzzing from the unit.
