So far I have kept the tank above 1/2 and for over 1300 miles that I have owned the van the pump has run fine. Now how long you can go with this problem I do not know.

I recommend gettingyour pump changed soon, I and no one else can say how long this pump of yours will go.

What would be the normal life expectancy for a 96 B2500 5.2 fuel pump and the filter?
