I need to repair the T fitting on the windshield washer fluid hose, but to get at the T fitting I need to remove the wiper arm and remove the cowl fitting. I've read that all you need to do is wiggle the wiper arm while pulling up on the asembly at the pivot area...
"Seriously though, the way to remove the wiper arms is this: lift up the arm so there is no pressure on the pivot. Then grip the arm at the bottom where it attaches to the pivot with a pair of pliers and rock it back and forth while pulling up on it. It will simply pop off."
I've pulled, and pulled and nothing has popped off except my temper.
Not specific enough as how to actually remove the arms. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have an '89 and those directions would work for me. Mine has no locking tab. I don't know about a '93. I'd be leery of using the plyers, which could just be tightening the wiper base tighter on the wiper stud.
I'd spray a little penetrating fluid on it. Protect the paint.
Then get a couple different thicknesses of wood and a soft cloth to protect the paint. Find the piece of wood which fits just underneath the wiper base lip. Insert a good wide flat head screwdriver under the lip of the wiper arm base on top of the wood and pry that mother off from a couple points around the clock. Taking the pressure of the spring ( lifting the arm) off will help but might require a third hand. Have fourth hand pry on other side of clock.
If that doesn't work increase the size of your leverage and intensity of your cursing. Warn owner of third and fourth hands of imminent temper tantrums. Have waivers ready to be signed.
Observe newly bent and useless sliding locking tab.
