Default 1995 Ram Van fuel filter confusion

I keep getting conflicting information regarding fuel filter locations. I've been told the the ONLY fuel filter on my 1995 Dodge 1500 Ram Van is in the tank.
However, a couple of people I know seem to think there is another filter somewhere else on this van. This is really insane!

I don't know about a '95 but my '89 has a filter screen attached to the bottom of the pump itself inside the tank, and an easily replaceable larger one underneath the van's 3rd and 4th doors inside the frame rail.

I believe starting in 92, the only filter is in the tank and is part of the fuel pump assembly. Meaning that you have to change the whole pump assembly in order to change the fuel filter.

Thanks for clearing that up for me, alloro. People that I've talked to (including a couple mechanics) shake their heads in disbelief when I tell them the ONLY fuel filter is in the tank. I didn't know that it started as far back as 92. An auto parts clerk told me he thought 95 was the 1st year. Many thanks again for all the info.
