Default Odo error solved, need trailer brake wiring help!!

Hi again, I put the right size tires on the 97 Ram 2500, and now the odo and speedometer seem to be pretty accurate. Thanks! Now, it came with a trailer plug on the rear and with a hitch, but the plug is not wired for electric trailer brakes. I have a Tekonsha controller, but I can't find the stop light switch - unless it's incorporated into the cruise control switch, which at this point I'm convinced must be the case. The only switch near the brake pedal, and operated by it, actually says cruise control right on it, but it's got about 8 wires coming out of it. Anyone know which one I'd hook the Tekonsha controller to??? Thanks, Tracka96

I believe it's a white wire. It should come off the switch and at some point split at a splice buried under all that black tape, with one lead running to the turn signal switch and ultimately the rear brake/TS lights. The second lead runs up the driver's side pillar and back along the roof line to the third brake light. So if it's easier, tap into the wire for the third brake light.

Thanks! That's exactly what I'll do, come off the third brake light wire. It looks pretty hairy in around the stop lite/cruise control switch, with lots of contortionist body positions that I'd have trouble accomplishing. Track96
