I ended up finding a Nippondenso alternator instead from a RAM 100 truck. The part number on the casing is 5233672. According to what I've found on some website, its supposed to be a 90A. This shouldn't cause a problem should it? If the current rating on the alternator is how much current it can withstand, then this should simply be an upgrade from the 75A I took off; whatever is connected to the alternator should only pull as much current as it needs anyway.

Also, I need to know if the field connections can be reversed without a problem. The wiring harness in the van doesn't look like the one pictured, so it has a couple of wires coming off of it instead of bolting the field connections on. If they must be connected a certain way, what color wire should be connected where?

LOL, I managed to figure out pretty much all of my previous questions. The only one I have left is if there might be another wire not shown in the diagram. I found a black one hanging down, same gauge as the field connections, and I can't quite figure out where it belongs.

Well, the good news is I installed the alternator and everything turned out fine. The van started right up, and the voltmeter maintained a steady 14.5 volts as it should. The belt isn't squeaking, and the transmission is shifting out so it is driveable...almost.

Now, it will start and run but I noticed there are no working accessories. The interior lights won't come on, the radio won't turn on, and the hood light won't turn on. The only electrical parts working are those cruicial to driving (headlights, signal lights, gauges, starter, etc.). Is there another wire that should be running to the battery for these accessories, or is this likely a fuse blown somewhere from where the alternator was previously connected wrong?

EDIT: Apparently the power door locks and windows are working, so its just the accessory lighting and the radio.

It could just be a fuse. Did you check them all? If they're all good then it could be a blown fusible link for the accessory circuit. The fusible links are up around the brake booster.

It was a fuse. I just find it odd that the radio and interior lights were on the same circuit.
