Default Radiator Leaking Please Help

My friend has 1987 pontiac 6000(old car),his radiator has a small leak.Is it possible that fumes would enter inside a car thru heating vents? I drove with him couple times and evrey time i get a headache i told him he should replace that and that is dangerous, was i right? Please some info,I know it has nothing to do with dodge vans but i told him that i would ask on forum for some help.

Antifreeze is both poisonous and lethal. A teaspoon of it is enough to kill a small to mid sized animal. However, a few whiffs of it doesn't mean it's time to run off to the emergency room. In the vapor form you're experiencing, AF is much less concentrated and is more of an annoyance than it is dangerous. I suspect you headaches are more of a reaction to the smell over anything else.

The vents at the base of the windshield is where fresh air is drawn into the car's heating system. Basically the AF fumes are being directed right towards that fresh air intake for your breathing pleasure.
