I just got my b2500 van (1995 6cyl) and am wondering weight kind of weight limit, if any has been established or estimated, there may be for the roof. Especially regarding use of a roof rack, or maybe sitting on the roof for a sporting event.

 

I have never seen official numbers, but I'd estimate 75 lbs. of weight sitting on the roof before risking a dent. As for ladder racks that attach to the rain gutters, I'd say you could easily do 500-600 lbs. up there. Less if you get the kind of racks the bolt down to the roof.
